This policy explains how bhakt.online handles information when you visit the board or submit an entry.
What we collect
When you submit an entry, we collect the Instagram username, display name, category, and any optional city or devotional message you provide. We also create a random guest identifier so we can associate your entry with your browser.
Cookies and local storage
When you submit an entry, bhakt.online sets a strictly necessary HTTP-only cookie named bhakt_guest. It contains a random token, lasts up to one year, and helps us identify the browser that created an entry. We store an anonymous random browser identifier in local storage to count daily visitors without identifying them. We do not use advertising cookies.
Security and rate limiting
To protect the site from abuse, we derive a protected hash from an IP address for short-lived rate-limit keys. The application does not store a raw IP address in its board records. Our hosting provider may process standard request information to deliver and secure the site under its own operational practices.
How your entry is used
Approved entry information is displayed publicly on the board. This can include your display name, Instagram username, category, city, message, rank, and aggregate click count. Do not submit information you do not want displayed publicly.
Instagram links
Selecting an entry can redirect you to Instagram. Instagram is an independent service and has its own privacy policy. We do not control how Instagram handles data after you leave bhakt.online.
How we use information
We use submitted information to publish and moderate the board, operate rankings, provide profile links, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Sharing and storage
Entry data is stored in the databases and infrastructure required to run bhakt.online. It may be processed by our hosting, database, and cache providers solely to operate and secure the service. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention and removal
Public entries remain visible while approved on the board. We may retain limited records and backups for security, moderation, and service continuity. You may ask for an entry to be reviewed or removed by contacting the site operator through the contact details published on bhakt.online.
Your choices
You can avoid submitting an entry, clear your browser storage, or ask for a review of information connected with your entry. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
